A small section of my bookshelves is devoted to books on Japanese and Japan. I'm no longer studying the language, but I can't seem to get rid of them.

When I took a photo of the tramway, I thought it would be interesting to draw.  Now nearly four years later, I finally got around to doing it.

Blooming Outside My Window

Just a couple of weeks ago, these flowers were blooming outside my window. I think they are hibiscus, but I'm not quite sure. Now they've dried out and shriveled up. Fall is here.

I've yet to replace my camera that was lost in Paris, so I again looked at my sister's photos of this latest trip for drawing inspiration. We visited this lighthouse at the tip of Old Mission Peninsula on a very windy and unseasonably cool day.

I recently returned from vacationing in northern Michigan. On this particular day, it was too cool and windy to take the boats out on the bay, so I drew them instead.
