This statue is between the Eiffel Tower and the Ecole Militaire. It's of Joseph Joffre, a WWI French general.

After walking all throughout Versailles, we returned to Paris and sat in the park in front of the Eiffel Tower for an hour or so. I ruined the drawing when I got home by applying water to the pencil work I'd done on site.

On my recent trip to Paris, we took some time just to sit in the Luxembourg Gardens so that I could draw. It was late in the afternoon, and I was exhausted, so this little sketch was all I managed to get done.
